Long Lost Memories & Love Ch 6-10

Long Lost Memories and Love Ch 6

Flashback Continues:

Arnav leaned forward and tried stealing another kiss when suddenly a huge truck came crashing...
The truck came crashing on Khushi side harder...within seconds the car flipped over causing Khushi to scream in terror,
"ARNAV...!!!!!!"
Before her body landed roughly on the dark road. She lay there unconscious and lifelessly in a large pool of blood.
KHUSHI...!!!!
Arnav trembled as he limped weakly over to Khushi when suddenly something hard hit the back of his head causing him to fall next to Khushi in the pool of blood.
Stranger behind the shadows of the night came out holding a rod stick dripping with blood. The stranger limped over towards the bodies to get a clearer view. His forehead creased with apprehension. The task had yet again been incomplete. Having no choice but to inform the updates of the task, the stranger pulled out the cell and with a trembling voice said,
"Hello...boss...I...actually...
A frustrated chuckle broke out at the other end of the line increasing the apprehension of the stranger.
"So its left incomplete again huh?? You useless piece of crap! Get it done!!!! NO EXCUSES I WON'T SPARE YOU THIS TIME IF THE WORK ISN'T DONE!!!" threatened the boss hanging up.
The stranger let out his breath that he held. He didn't know whether to feel relieved for getting another chance or worried. The last time the task wasn't completed the boss had stamped his power in his mind forever. The stranger had been left screaming in pain...legs burning from the lava coals that were once caged in the small bonfire. Demolishing the strength of his legs permanently. The memories of burning sensation still made his body shudder with terror.
The stranger quickly recollected himself and headed back to his truck for his supplies. As he limped back towards the bodies once again, ready to fulfill the orders faint screams emerged from the darkness. He quickly grabbed his supplies and vanished into the night with his truck.
Aman and his friends, who had decided to play one last prank on the newly wed had followed Arnav's car. However, feeling a bit doubtful they decided to maybe head back. Letting the new couple be in peace for tonight, when out of the blue a crashing sound and flames lighten the dark roads for miles to see. They hurried towards the site and a dreadful sight was unfolded in front of their eyes.
Within minutes both bodies were hurled into the ambulance. Once they arrived at the hospital Aman informed the chef inspector and the group were led to the police station for further questioning and their statements.

End of Flashback

The discharge papers were ready at a speed of light due to Yash's constant raging orders at the hospital staff. His eagerness to take his son home was evident.
Dr. Kapoor: Mr. Raizada the papers are ready however I would request that let Arnav regain conscious before we release him. It isn't safe for him to travel in a unconscious state. He should be up within a few hours. I will do a quick check up afterwards and he is good to go.
Although Yash preferred otherwise he reluctantly agreed.
...
A few hours later Arnav rested his back on fluffy pillows. He watched the doctor examining him.
"So how are you feeling now Arnav?" asked Dr. Kapoor.
"Okay...just a bit of headache." Arnav replied.
"Don't worry that will go away with rest. Umm...Arnav do you recall anything?" Dr. Kapoor held his breath and prayed he didn't.
"No...I don't know... I just feel tensed. I feel restless for some reason." replied Arnav as his eyes stared into space in confusion.
"That's alright. Your body has been under a lot of stress due to the accident. Once you get enough rest you will feel fine."
Arnav nodded and turned towards his Dad who was smirking proud and relieved.
"Dad...I have been meaning to ask... where is she??"
The ground beneath him almost slipped before he gathered up his emotions and asked,
"Who beta?"
"Lav...where the hell is she??? Where did she disappeared to after the engagement? I won't let her ruin everything! She won't get away with this!!!" replied Arnav confidently assuring his Dad.
...
Khushi sipped the soup slowly as her thoughts drifted back to the incident earlier. His eyes were filled with pain and desperateness. Her heart was in dilemma, her mind tried to rule out a explanation to her tears for this stranger. An unknown feeling of pain struck her soul recalling his screams. Her thoughts were yet again interuppted when Garima entered.
"How are you beta? I brought you your favorite...Jalebis!!" exclaimed Garima trying to cover her concern towards her daughter. She plastered a huge bright smile.
"Mama please don't try to hide the pain. I can see it in your eyes."
Tears started flowing endlessly down Garima's cheeks as she accepted the defeat. They hugged each other close. Clinging onto each other.
"Mama...please help me. Please answer my question na. I asked that day but you didn't tell me. Where is NK?? Did he convince Papa????" asked a desperate Khushi.

Her thoughts were yet again interrupted when Garima entered.
Garima drew in a deep breath as she broke away from the hug. She cupped Khushi's face and replied,
"Beta he left a while back... he went back to Australia."
"What...when??" Khushi replied. To her it felt like it was just days ago when NK was here.
Garima: He's been gone for a few months now... to Australia. NK went to go see her.
Khushi sighed. Her memory loss had left numerous open gaps in her life. She felt like a huge chunk of her life was snatched away from her. What else had she not remembered she thought.
"Oh..but before leaving he did convince Papa na?"
Garima smiled weakly saying,
"Yes Beta. He did, you don't have to marry NK. Your Papa was just excited when Nk's family brought the proposal. You know na NK's family and Papa have been old family friends. Since NK didn't tell anyone about her the proposal was sent for you. But don't worry Papa understands now. He won't force you or NK."
Khushi smiled in relief. She felt a huge burden was lifted off her shoulders. Little did the poor soul realize or know that this matter had long been taken care of. And that more serious appending matters were surrounding her life.
She hugged her Mama again in happiness.
"I'm so happy Mama!!! You know I was so worried. I didn't want to lose my two best friends..."
Garima smiled softly at her innocent daughter as Khushi continued to chatter. Garima knew Khushi could never break her best friend's heart. The two had known each other since they were kids.
"Nk Jiju and her were always meant to be. I remember when she first told me about him. She would glow with happiness whenever she spoke about him. When Nk's proposal came for me she was shattered. She had to go through so much pain. She was even more broken when her Dad had fixed her marriage with some rich elite family. I didn't know what to do for her. But I'm so happy that Nk Jiju finally was able to clear up things with Papa." exclaimed Khushi with relief.
She dazed into her own little world happy for her best friends until a thought stuck her.
"Mama...have they called?? I miss them so much."
Garima: No beta they haven't. Ever since they left for Australia we haven't heard from them. But don't worry I'm sure they are just busy settling down.
Hearing this Khushi felt a bit down but quickly cheered herself up thinking at least they were happy. However at the same time the feeling of emptiness within her grew as Khushi's thoughts lingered on about her memory loss. If only she had been more careful while driving back home. After the doctors had broke the news of her memory loss Khushi's parents had told her she had met with an accident after coming back from her one of her friend's house.
She was lost dwelling on these thoughts. In fact she had often thought about this. Trying to remember it but all her efforts went in vain. Seeing her buried deep into thought Garima quickly changed the topic trying to cheer up her up.
"Anyways enough of all this... Beta tell me how was your day today?" asked Garima.
Khushi's mind again when to those memories of the stranger's painful screams. She was pulled out of her trance when Garima called her name for the third time.
"Khushi what happened?? Is everything ok??"
"I don't know Mama." Khushi shrugged as the restlessness came back gripping her heart tightly.
Garima: What do you mean Beta? Are you feeling ok? Should I call the doctor??
Khushi: No no Mama I'm fine. It's just that...that I was thinking about the incident that happened earlier today.
"Incident??" Garima exclaimed.
"Yeah...actually when the temporary intern took me out for my usual outing on the front lawn something unexpected happened."
"What...what happened??" Garima asked as her concern grew.
"Well while she took me out there was another patient out there. When I saw him from a distance he was staring at me. I just stared back. Then when I was brought closer up to the patient and his nurse he whispered my name. Then a few moments later he started screaming my name. His eyes were full of pain and desperation. Then the doctors gave him a shot which made him unconscious and he was rushed back inside." Khushi recalled, her voice filled with an pain and confusion.
Garima sat there to shocked to say anything, waiting for her daughter to continue.
"I don't know Mama...I mean I don't even know the person but feel horrible for him. Poor soul. Dr. Chopra told me he is going through some kind of trauma. I hope he is doing ok. But you know one thing that confuses me is that how does he know my name when I never met him before?? I even asked the doctor but he told me to ignore him." Khushi looked up towards her Mama as she finished.
Garima didn't know what to say. She was left speechless with her worries increasing. She knew by the detailed description which patient that was. Leaving Garima feeling helpless of the situation placed in front of her. She didn't know what to say or do. Before she could come up with a reply Shashi walked in. She mentally sighed thankfully for being rescued from another lie she would have to come up with to tell her daughter.
"How's my betiya doing?" Shashi announced as he came over to Khushi's bedside.
Khushi forgetting her thoughts engulfed her Papa into a deep hug.
"I'm doing good Papa. I feel much better now." she exclaimed brightly.
Shashi smiled seeing his daughter doing good. Right when he was about to reply his cell phone started buzzing.
Shashi: You two carry on I will be back in a few minutes.
The ladies nodded as Shashi walked out to receive the call.
Shashi: Hello...
Caller: Hello...Nasmate Uncle. It's me NK.
...
Yash: She left...
"Lav left because she had to Arnav. It wasn't her fault."
Yash turned around to face the person he was least expecting to show up.
"Don't hold her guilty for it. She had some things to take care of. "
Arnav looked up to find his best friend Aman standing at the door.
"Hey man whats up? Didn't expect you to be here." Arnav said with a pleasant smile.
"Come on yaar!! Of course I would come to see you. I didn't get the chance to earlier due to some things that came in the way." Aman replied giving Yash a brief glance.
"Oh Hi, Namaste Uncle how are you?" Aman said greeting him.
Yash clenched his teeth replying,
"Hi, I'm fine how are you?"
"Good Uncle...couldn't have been better!"
Aman turned back to Arnav when he spoke up.
"So Aman what were you saying about Lav?"
"Arnav I was just saying it wasn't her fault. You remember her condition she said before agreeing to this proposal." Aman said reminding him.
"Yeah but I also had a condition. I didn't have any problems with her conditions provided that she went along with the whole thing until I said so. If she wanted to get married to someone else that was fine with me. I wasn't interested in getting married any time soon anyways. It was cause of Dad and the family that I agreed in the first place." said Arnav.
Yash grew furious recalling this. The trouble they had to go through due to that Lav and the events following after that made his temper rise higher.
Aman: Arnav like I said she had a reason for leaving all of a sudden.
But Yash cut him off before Aman could say another word.
"Boys all that is in the past. It doesn't matter why she left. The point is she left so end of story. Right now Arnav's health is much more important to focus on rather than such useless discussions. Anyways Dr. Kapoor I think you should finish up checking on Arnav while Aman and I wait outside."
And with that Yash gestured Aman to move outside to have a word with him.
Arnav drew in a frustrated breath cursing his memory loss! He recalled asking his father the same question weeks ago and getting a reply. But due to his condition he would often forget random things in addition to his temporary memory loss. He felt a pathetic hopelessness overcome him remembering what his Dad told him about his accident. If only he didn't go for a speed drive after Lav had left all this never would have happened!! He punched the bed earning a look from the doctor.
Arnav muttered a sorry letting the doctor continue his examination in peace.
As soon as they left the room Yash walked up straight to Aman staring sternly at him.
"Aman I told you not to mention anything to Arnav. I don't want him knowing about the Guptas!! I told you that weeks ago!!"
"But Uncle I never said anything about the Guptas. I just wanted Arnav to take it easy. If Arnav takes stress for no reason that won't be good for his health either. I was just cooling him down. And since all this happened a while back I don't want Arnav to stress about it. Especially since you had already dealt with the situation and the media. Then Khushi..."
Yash: That's exactly why I told you to keep your mouth shut and stay away from my son! I can't take any risks when it comes to his health and well-being!! Am I clear??
Aman nodded to avoid Yash's increasing anger.
"Good. Now if you will excuse me I have a important call to make."
As Yash walked away Aman took out his cell phone and called her,
"Hey sis... thank you so much!!"
"No problem bro anything for you. You're my favorite cousin so its all good!" replied Sanjana.
Aman: Your the best!!
Sanjana: Come on bro!! It was no big deal. The nurse is good friends with Mom so all I had to do was come up with a volunteer excuse. But bro I couldn't get much done. Before Arnav and Khushi could spend any time together after I brought Khushi outside the doctors came out.
Aman: Don't worry sis. At least it was something. We'll think of something.
Sanjana: Sure bro ok I gotta go now. Catch up with you later. Bye
Aman placed his phone back in his pocket as he thought back to his conversation with Yash a few weeks back.

Flashback:

After coming back from the police station Aman headed to the hospital. As he hurried down the hall someone pulled him aside.
Aman: Uncle you almost scared me.
As he recovered from the sudden shock he registered in his surroundings. And spoke up.
Aman: Uncle don't worry Arnav will be fine. I brought him here just in time. The doctors are on it.
Yash: Yeah you sure did. And helped him get married to Gupta's daughter without our consent!
Aman gulped. He had forgotten all about that due to the unexpected events. He wondered how Uncle managed to figure out that he was involved in Arnav and Khushi's secret court marriage.
Yash: Aman what has been done is now done. Now listen to me very carefully!! I don't want a word out of your mouth about Khushi or the Gupta family!!
"But Uncle even if I don't it doesn't matter. Once Arnav regains conscious he will ask about Khushi." Aman replied defensively.
Yash: No he won't. He is suffering from short temporary memory loss.
Aman staggered back shocked.
Aman: What??? How...??
Yash: His doctor just told me. Now I need your word on this! I mean it I don't want you saying anything!!! You already went against us by helping Arnav. Now don't disappoint me again! The consequences won't be good otherwise.
Aman nodded quietly knowing that Yash meant what he said. He felt helpless as he couldn't put his family at stake. Despite him being a well-known fashion designer his family business still meant the world to his family. But he was also determined to help his friend in any way he could.

Flashback ends
Aman sighed as he drove back home. He knew he had to do something.
...
Arnav was finally discharged. Arnav and Yash stepped into the elevators taking them down to the first floor. He had apparently been shifted from his previous room on the first floor after Yash's strict orders to keep his son away from Gupta's daughter. As they made their way out of the elevators they passed by a room. Arnav paused for a few seconds as his heart started racing again.
Khushi lay back on the hospital bed waiting for her parents to come back from the cafeteria. Despite many refusals from Khushi, they still went to go get her something to eat. As Khushi shifted on her bed her eyes caught hold of someone standing right outside her door. Her door was kept slightly open so she was able to make out a manly figure.
Yash gestured Arnav forward when he saw him pause in his tracks. Arnav stared back at his Dad before he proceeded.
Khushi gasped as she recognized the figure. But when she saw him go away she quickly got down and staggered out.
"Hey you!!!"
He paused and slowly began to turn his head...

His heart rate increased by the second. Just as he was about to turn to the face behind that sweet voice, a rough voice startled him.

"Arnav!!" called Yash.

Arnav turned towards his Dad. The visible wrinkles that had formed on his forehead indicated his growing impatience, forcing Arnav to quickly exit to join his Dad towards their car.

Khushi tried rushing forward as she saw him exiting the building. But was held back from taking another step.

"Khushi betiya what happened? What are you doing here?" asked a concerned Garima.

Khushi flushed, quickly trying to come up with an excuse.

"I...I..."

"Never mind that. Chalo! You should be resting right now." Garima said as she gently pulled Khushi back towards the room.

All Khushi could do was stare back towards the exit as she was lead back to her room. While her pounding heart showed her no mercy therefore increasing her restlessness.

Khushi climbed back onto the bed while Garima went on talking about random things. But her mind was too busy somewhere else to pay much attention to her mother.

"Uff why didn't he stop? And why am I so worked up over a stranger?? What's wrong with me??" She thought.

Annoyed with herself she dug herself deeper into the bed, trying to let sleep take over and hopefully calm her pounding heart down.

...

Meanwhile Shashi decided to stay back at the cafeteria. His mind was too preoccupied thinking about his conversation with Nk to go back to Khushi's room right away. He didn't want to stress his daughter.

Flashback:

Shashi: Hello...

Caller: Hello...Nasmate Uncle. It's me NK.

"Nk?? How are you beta? Where did you disappear to?? You two completely forgot about us. How are you two doing??" Shashi said all a once, pleasantly surprised by Nk's unexpected call.

Nk: Uncle...she left. I...I don't know where she is. Lav left.

Shashi: What?? What do you mean Lavanya left??

Nk: Uncle I'm back. I'm back in town. Can I come over?

Shashi: Sure beta. When are you coming?

Nk: Soon...very soon.

End of Flashback

His mind seemed to replay the conversation at least 10 times. But he just couldn't seem to figure out why Lavanya left. He had seen her grow up with Khushi and considered her like his own daughter. Her sudden disappearance seemed to both worry and disappoint him. He hadn't expected this from her. Nk too was like a son for him. Despite the fact that he hadn't seen much of Nk until he grew up, Shashi still held high regards for him and respected him. He would welcome Nk back with open arms. And he hoped maybe with Nk back in town Khushi's life could go back to normal. And things would once again be in control.

...

As Arnav and Yash sat in the back of the car heading home, Arnav was still under the spell of that sweet voice. His heart warmed into a peaceful yet restless feeling. He regretted not looking back at least once to see who was the angel that possessed such a sweet voice. But the spell was broken as the noise of the busy streets of Mumbai hit his ears. Reality seeped in, reminding Arnav again about Lavanya. He groaned interally thinking back to their agreement.

Flashback:

Their families had decided to meet up at the mall, avoiding all the formal traditional ways of being stuck in a living room serving tea and snacks.

After some small talk, their parents had left them to themselves to talk at a coffee shop. They watched their families disappear into the crowd of the mall.

Not knowing exactly where to start, Arnav went ahead and ordered coffee for both of them.

A couple of minutes passed when she finally attempted to break the awkward silence.

"Asr I'm going to be very honest. Please don't take this negatively." said Lavanya, her face clearly showing her nervousness.

Arnav nodded his head for her to go on.

"I can't marry you. I love somebody else. Dad doesn't know about this. I didn't get the chance to tell him. And before I could even mention anything he agreed to this proposal. Please for my sake say no to this proposal. " Lavanya begged.

Arnav took another sip of his coffee before he replied,

"Well frankly speaking even I am not ready to get married. In fact I think we hardly know each other to make such a major decision like marriage so hastily. I only agreed to this because of my family's constant nagging. So you don't have to worry about all this. I'll say no to this proposal."

Lavanya smiled in relief as some life came back to her and replied,

"Thank y..."

Arnav: Before you thank me I have a condition. Look the fact is that rejecting this proposal won't be easy. For our parents this alliance would also be an important step for the joint business deal they are planning to make. If we deny right away we won't get anywhere. Let's just play along and agree to getting engaged. After some time we can come up with a valid reason to not get married.

Lavanya felt a bit unsure but agreed seeing she had no other choice.

Lavanya: Ok...I guess that's fine with me. But only an engagement and soon after we will announce that we don't want to get married right? I don't to drag it futher than that.

Arnav: Yeah that's it. Engagement then break up. And don't worry about our families I will handle everything.

Lavanya: Thanks Asr. I'm so sorry about all this. You're a really nice guy. I hope one day you find an amazing girl.

Arnav smiled saying,

"No problem. I wasn't ready to get married anyways so its a win-win situation for the both of us. Actually to be honest I'm not so interested in getting married at all.

Lavanya smiled and said thoughtfully ,

"I used to share the same views until I met the right person. I'm sure when the right person comes along you'll change your mind.

Arnav smirked and said confidently,

"Well all I can say is that day surely won't come any time soon."

"We'll see. Wish you all the best." she said.

She thought for a moment before saying,

"I don't know if this would be appropriate or not but I really appreciate all your help. I was very worried. I can't thank you enough for this. And I was wondering if you would like to become friends?"

And saying that she extended her hand for a handshake.

"So friends?"

Arnav smiled,

"Friends." Arnav said as he shook hands.

They smiled finishing their coffee in peace.

End of Flashback

Arnav mentally kicked himself thinking what an idiot he was to buy her stupid story. When they made a deal to announce their break up after the engagement why the hell did she decide to disappear on the engagement day? Leaving us to deal with the humiliation and the media! At the thought of the media he turned towards Yash.

"Dad are you sure everything is taken care of after Lavanya left?? I won't stand anyone who tries to degrade the Raizadas!"

Yash: Yes Arnav, it was taken care of a while back. That girl is long gone and its a good thing the engagement didn't happen. She wasn't fit to become a part of the Raizada family anyways. So don't stress yourself over all that.

Arnav nodded in agreement. Yes, he was glad that he never intended to get married to her in the first place. He sat back relaxed only to rise again when a question came to his mind,

"Dad...if all this was taken care of a while back then how did my accident happen after Lavanya left?"

Yash was left dumbfounded. He hadn't thought of that when he came up with a lie to tell his son weeks ago at the hospital. Therefore he tried to avoid the question temporarily so he could come up a believable excuse.

Arnav: Dad??

Hearing Arnav question him again Yash blurted out the first excuse that came to his mind,

"Uhh...actually Lavanya had came back after the engagement. Then she left again recently before your accident. You were frustrated so took the car out which led to your accident. Sorry I didn't explain that clearly before."

He hoped that this time his lie wouldn't be caught. The truth was Lavanya had left after the engagement and never came back. He couldn't tell Arnav about the events that followed suit after the engagement party. It would only lead him on to the Gupta family and Khushi.

Arnav nodded and went back to looking out the window. His mind trying to register in the new information. But for some odd reason his heart didn't seem to find peace. It felt like something was missing. As if he had lost something precious. He decided once he got back home he would meet Aman. Maybe he could find some peace after talking to him.

...

As their car drove up the drive way, Arnav looked on with unknown mixed feelings. Although he was happy an unknown feeling lingered somewhere in his heart. He brushed aside the feeling, thinking that the few weeks spent away from home at the hospital was the reason behind his mixed feelings. It was probably just homesickness he ruled out.

The Raizada Mansion was no less than a palace. The grand white marble exterior shined brightly as the sun rays hit the mansion. Giving it a rather heavenly look. Arnav stepped out onto the pavement. His eyes scanned every detail of RM as if memorizing it. He walked on ahead joining his Dad at the grand entrance.

The doors were immediately opened releasing a familiar homely breeze. Arnav was welcomed home by the entire family. Including his Mama ji and their family who lived close by.

Everyone took turns hugging him. When he came up to his Maa and Di their eyes were filled with tears. Tears of joy, relief and guilt.

Divya cupped his face,

"Arnav beta..."

"Shh...Maa. I'm okay." Arnav said as he held his mother in his embrace. Divya hugged him back letting her tears flow silently. Everything was far from being ok she thought helplessly.

After breaking away from the hug he then saw his Di crying too.

"Oh come on Di! Not you too!! Please everyone relax I'm fine!"

"Chote... we were all soo worried..." Anjali cried.

Her sobs were muffled as Arnav engulfed her into a bear hug.

"Di enough now. Please stop crying. I'm seriously ok." Arnav said with a hint of rising anger.

"Hello Hi Arnav bitva!! Whys you so upsetva with Anjali betiya?? You forgets about the shockva you gives us? We no complains over big thing but you upsetva with us?? Tells me whys?? said an outraged Manorma Mami.

Bewildered Arnav asked,

"What? What shock? What do mean Mami??"

Manorma opened her mouth to reply only to shut it quickly with just one look from Yash.

To ease the tension Divya said,

"Chote you must be tired. Why don't you go rest in your room. Your dinner will be sent to your room."

Although Arnav wanted to know what Mami ji meant he kept quiet and nodded silently. Exhaustion had taken over him and all he wanted right now was some sleep. He would ask Mami ji later and so without protesting he headed upstairs.

...

After trying to get some sleep for the past 4 hours Arnav sat up on his bed. He decided to call up Aman and further inquire about all that happened before the accident. It wasn't that he didn't believe his Dad but he just wanted reassurance from his best friend for his peace of mind.

He took his phone out when someone knocked.

"Come in"

Anjali entered his room with a try of food. Arnav got up immediately.

Arnav: Di you didn't have to come up. You could have sent someone else.

Di: Chote it's okay. Now stop fussing and eat your dinner.

Arnav smiled shaking his head at his Di as he sat down to eat. Anjali came and sat down right next to him.

Anjali looked far off at the visible dim moonlight by the pool. She was lost in thought.

Arnav: Di what happened? Why are you so quiet??

Anjali shook her head trying to convince him that it was nothing.

Arnav: Di...

"Chote..it's just that I can't get over your accident. What if we lost you? I... I could never bare that. I can't lose you too. After my divorce I'm scared of losing my loved ones." Anjali sobbed.

Arnav: Di look at me. I'm perfectly ok. The doctors have said that I'm healing fast. Don't worry about me. And please don't hurt yourself because thinking about that worthless man! When he decided to cheat on you it was his loss not yours. It's been two years now Di. You have Anaya now. Be strong and be happy Di.

Anjali smiled through her tears.

"Chote please promise me that you will be more careful and will take care of yourself. Promise me that you won't let anything or anyone hurt you. And that you will listen to your heart no matter what."

"I promise Di. You have my word."

Saying that they hugged each other.

Anjali: Chalo I should go now. Its getting late now. I have to get up early to get Anaya ready for school tomorrow. Make sure to finish your dinner and sleep on time.

Arnav nodded as Anjali left closing the door behind her. Arnav quickly finished up his dinner so that he could call Aman.

After two rings Aman picked up,

Arnav: Hey man! What's up? I'm back home finally.

Aman: Hey!! How are you?? When did you come home??

Arnav: I'm doing fine. I came back a few hours ago. Btw what happened the other day? You just disappeared.

Aman: Yeah I'm sorry about that. I had an urgent meeting to attend.

Aman felt a bit guilty lying but he just couldn't risk telling him anything over the phone.

Arnav: No problem. Hey do you wanna meet up? Its been a while since we have hung out.

Hearing this Aman felt his spirits lifting.

Aman: Sure man!! I'll let you know when and where.

Arnav: Ok cool. Alright I think I'm gonna call it a night now. Catch up with you later.

Aman: Alright bye. Take care and see you soon.

Aman almost squealed in happiness as he called up two people. Now was his chance to put things right!!

...

A week passed with Khushi finally getting discharged. Marking the start of an upcoming storm...

Long Lost Memories and Love Ch 9

As the week flew by Aman was busy trying to make arrangements to get the two lost lovebirds to meet. He very well knew that it wouldn't be an easy task. Getting through past Yash Uncle and Khushi's family would be quite challenging but Aman was determined to set things right.

After he had spoken to Arnav last week he felt a wave of relief pass through him. The anxiousness in Arnav's voice had risen a ray of hope in him.

He thought back to his conversation with him when they had met at a coffee shop last week.

Flashback:

They sat at a table with each staring into space before Arnav finally let out all the frustration he had bottled up for weeks at the hospital.

Arnav: Aman I just don't get it! Why?? Why do I feel so restless these days?? Ever since the accident and my memory loss I can't seem to brush off this weird feeling! I don't know I just...it feels...feels like I lost something. Something important to me. But I can't figure out what and why the hell I'm feeling this way!!! I've tried so hard to remember what happened before the accident but...I...!!

He slammed his palm against the table as he cursed his condition.

"Dammit! I wish I never would have went for that speed drive after that stupid girl Lavanya left!! This memory loss makes me feel so damn helpless!!!"

Arnav drew in a deep breath to calm his frustrated nerves down. He was too busy in his own thoughts to notice Aman's troubled facial expressions.

Aman felt a strong urge to spill out everything right there and then. He had never seen him like this before and couldn't stand seeing him in such a helpless state. But he knew the consequences of spilling the beans all of sudden.

The doctors strict orders were to not stress him in any way. Stressing him could worsen his situation. And in any case Aman surely didn't want to risk his best friend's health.

He felt that taking things a bit slowly would be a wiser option. He mentally decided to somehow first get Arnav to meet Khushi. And based upon Arnav's reaction he would decide when would be the best time to reveal the truth to him.

Aman cleared his throat gaining Arnav's attention.

"Don't worry Arnav everything will be fine. Time will heal everything." Aman tried consoling him.

Arnav nodded hoping he was right.

End of flashback

Aman leaned back on his bed resting his head against the headboard. He hoped that things would work out accordingly to what he had planned. He just had to make things work out. He just had to he thought.

...

The bright sun rays seeped in through the windows shining brightly on Khushi's lean figure.

She stared out looking at the chirping birds. She looked up when she heard the doorknob turn. Dr. Chopra walked in with her parents following behind.

"So how are you feeling today Ms. Gupta?" asked Dr. Chopra as he reviewed over her chart.

"Doing much better Dr. Chopra." Khushi said.

She looked back at her parents and was surprised to see their faces adored with pleasant smiles. In all the time she had been in the hospital she hadn't even once seen them this happy. Their bright smiles warmed her heart but at the time increased her curiosity.

"Maa...Papa..what happened? You two look very happy today." Khushi asked with a smile.

Seeing their daughter smiling made Shashi's and Garima's smiles only grow wider. They came around to Khushi's bedside and waited for the doctor to speak.

Dr. Chopra: So I have checked everything and all seems good. She is good to go. She'll be discharged in the evening.

Khushi looked back at her parents with surprise that turned into huge toothy smile within seconds. She was so happy to finally be able to go home!! She was grinning like a little girl who was given a whole box of chocolates.

The weeks spent at the hospital made her feel homesick. Despite the hospital staff being very caring and gentle she still missed her home. Images of her cozy bed, large room and home flashed within her mind everyday of weeks. And now she was finally getting all that back!!

It took all the strength in her to refrain from dancing in happiness. She maintained a sober posture and tried to patiently wait till the doctor left.

As soon as Dr. Chopra left the room Khushi finally let out a squeal of excitement. And hugged Garima.

Shashi smiled with content seeing his daughter so happy after such a long time.

Shashi: Beta we have another good news. Nk's coming to visit soon!!

Khushi: Haww!! OMG when Papa when?? Is Lavanya coming with him?? It feels like I haven't met them in ages!! I miss them so much!!! Omg by now they must be married! I didn't even get the chance to gift them anything!! Haww and they didn't invite me to their wedding?? Uff enough Khushi you should be happy for them not complaining!!!! You know we should throw a welcome back party for them!!! Yes that's perfect!!! La would love it!! OMG there is soo much to do!! Shopping, cake...

Khushi went on and on chattering happily thinking about finally being able to meet Lavanya and Nk Jiju.

But Shashi and Garima's face fell when they heard Lavanya's name. They didn't know how to tell her that Lavanya had just disappeared. After debating mentally they decided that it would be best to not mention anything until Nk himself came over and told them what happened. Luckily enough Khushi didn't question them any further either since she was too excited.

Evening finally came as Khushi was discharged and finally heading back home. She popped her head out the window of their car to let the cool breeze hit against her soft skin. Although she still had felt stressed from all that occurred, Khushi still found some peace knowing she would be home again.

As the Gupta mansion came into view and the car stopped Khushi jumped out and ran towards the front door excited to be home. Garima and Shashi shook their heads glad to see their crazy daughter back.

After having dinner with her parents Khushi went upstairs to rest. She lay back in her bed feeling at home. Her phone rang and seeing the caller made her spring up as she answered.

Khushi: Oye!!! How are you yaar?? And where have you been all this time missy???

Caller: OMG Khushi I was soo worried about you. Thank God you're okay!!! I couldn't even come meet you since I was out of town. Are you okay na??? Are you back home?? How did all this happen???

Khushi: Whoa yaar breathe!! Yes baba I'm okay. In fact I'm great!! I just got back home today.

Caller: You sure na?? I was soo worried.

"Yaar really I'm okay. Don't worry. Okay now enough me!! Tell me when are you coming over?? It better be soon or else I won't spare you!!" Khushi giggled.

Caller: You have changed one bit have you??

Khushi: Nope!!! Now stop avoiding the question and tell me already!!!

Caller: Soon yaar!!

Khushi: Awesome!!! We have soo much to catch up on!! I've missed you soo much yaar!!! You, me & La used to hang out all the time!

Caller: Yeah I miss our hang outs too. How about we meet up in a few days?? We can go shopping!!! Sounds good?

Khushi: You're asking me if shopping sounds good?? OF COURSE yaar its GOOD!! It's a deal!!

Caller: LOL Khushi!! Okay yaar now you rest I'll come over soon. And take care of yourself yaar!!!

Khushi: Yes Mam!! Talk to ya later!!!

Caller: Khushi!! I'll let you go for now but when I meet you then you are sooo in for it!!

Khushi: Hehehe...bring it on!! I'll be waiting!!

Payal smiled as she put her phone down shaking her head at Khushi's craziness. She then went up to her brother's room.

Payal: Bhai I just spoke to Khushi. She's back home I'm meeting her up soon. Aman almost jumped doing a victory dance!!!

Seeing her brother almost squeal like a girl made Payal laugh out loud before she joined him. Finally settling down Aman spoke then spoke up.

"Payal that's great news!!!!! Step 1 of our mission is now done!!" Aman exclaimed.

The two siblings sat down and called Sanjana planning the next step.

...

A few days passed by with Arnav and Khushi slowly getting back into their routine life.

It was a chilly dark night after a series of thunderstorms that passed through the last couple of days. The heavy winds blew through the night, silencing the city into a deep slumber when the doorbell rang at the Gupta Mansion, interrupting the night.

Shashi called out from the living room,

"Ramu kaka who is it?"

"Uncle, it's me."

Shashi turned around swiftly hearing the familiar voice. He rose from his chair as the young man inched forward to take his blessings.

Shashi hugged him.

"How are you Nk beta?" Shashi asked with genuine concern.

He noticed Nk just standing there lost as they broke away from the hug.

"I'm ok." Nk said in a low voice.

Khushi and Garima soon came in not giving Shashi a chance to question Nk further.

Khushi's smile died when Nk turned around and he greeted the ladies.

Standing before her stood her Nk Jiju whose cheerful nature seemed to have disappeared.

Instead there stood a man who looked much older and leaner than she remembered. His one smile that shined everywhere he went was now replaced with pale features that underlined the dark circles under his eyes. His dull voice that seemed almost lifeless shocked her even more.

Khushi almost didn't recognize him due to all these drastic changes in him.

Khushi stood there as questions arose in her mind.

"What happened to Nk Jiju??? Why is he looking so pale?? Did something happen in the months he was gone?? And where is Lavanya??" She thought to herself.

When Khushi finally decided to break the silence that seemed to fill the room.

Khushi: Nk Jiju...what happened?? How have you been? Where is La? Didn't she come back with you??

Nk closed his eyes as he heard her name. He blinked them back open and answered numbly,

"She's gone. She...she just left."

Khushi's eyes widen as panic hit the core of her soul.

Shashi gestured Nk to take a sit making the rest follow suit.

Khushi sat down getting impatient. Nk sat there for a good 15 minutes in silence before he spoke up.

"When...Lavanya and I left for Australia she was very worried. She had received a call saying that her Nani was in the hospital and was in a critical condition. Which is why we left without informing anyone. Once we arrived at the airport she excused herself to go to ladies room. And then she...she never came back."

His voice cracked as the memories of that day came back. He paused to gather up his emotions before he spoke up again.

"I spent all these months searching for her everywhere. But couldn't find her. I..I don't what happened...what went wrong. She just left all of a sudden. I almost lost all hopes of finding her. And then one day when I was coming back home to my apartment someone left a note outside my door. It was from Lavanya saying that she didn't want to get married and that she left me for good."

He paused again before continuing. "I...I just don't understand why all this happened. Did I do something wrong? I love her soo much. How could she just leave like that??"

Nk sighed and continued.

"I felt miserable and lonely there. I just couldn't stand being in that empty apartment with broken hopes any longer. So I came back to India after a week."

Saying that he looked down at his feet miserably.

Shashi, Garima and Khushi were at loss of words as silent tears rolled down Khushi's and Garima's cheeks seeing Nk like this.

Khushi's face was drenched with tears as questions filled her mind.

"How could Lavanya do this?? She wasn't like this! I've known her since we were kids. Maybe... there is some kind of misunderstanding. I have to find out what happened." Thought Khushi.

She was about to voice out her concerning thoughts when Shashi spoke.

Shashi: Nk beta I'm sorry about all this. We...we didn't expect this from Lavanaya beta.

Nk: Unlce please let's not talk about it. I...I want to forget all that happened. It's best if I don't think about it.

Shashi silently nodded not wanting to hurt him. He gestured with his eyes to Khushi and Garima to not question him any further about this matter.

Shashi: Beta you have came back after such a long time. Come have dinner with us.

Nk nodded as they all headed towards the dining room to have dinner.

Shashi sat quietly through dinner as he thought about all that Nk had told him. He vowed to make things normal again for his daughter and Nk.

Later that night after Nk left, Khushi lay in bed feeling uneasy. She was worried and angry at Lavanya for doing this to Nk Jiju. She decided to help Nk Jiju get out of this depression soon. He was also her best friend and like a brother for her. She would do everything she could to bring back his cheerful nature.

At the thought Khushi yawned, exhaustion from all the stress finally took over. She turned off the side lamp and pulled the covers drifting to sleep.

...

The next day Khushi got ready to meet Payal at the mall.

Garima at first was concerned and apprehensive about allowing her to go out so soon. It had only been a few days since she was discharged but after the constant begging of Payal and Khushi she gave in. Khushi gave her mom a quick kiss on the cheek as she rushed out towards her car.

Meanwhile Arnav parked his car and went inside the mall. He was supposed to meet up Aman at their usual spot in their favorite coffee shop.

After waiting for about 20 minutes Arnav stepped out of the shop to see if Aman was coming. He dialed his number as he walked across the mall towards the Men's clothing store to pass time.

He took another sip of coffee before he stepping forward. Just as he was about to enter the store someone bumped into him.

The steaming coffee drenched his t-shirt making him curse.

"What the!!! Can't you look where you're going??" Arnav turned to look at the person only to suddenly be lost of words.

A gush of wind passed through...

Rabba Ve...

Khushi looked up, her eyes widen as the ice cream cone slipped out of her hands and dropped to the floor. Unknowingly she shifted in her spot making her almost slip when the stranger reached out and caught her in his strong arms just in time.

Khushi stared back at him shocked as her heart started racing.

Arnav stared right back into her innocent wide eyes in confusion.

Time seemed to have stopped for them before Khushi finally came back to her senses and noticed her current position.

She quickly straightened up as Arnav too moved back a little to give her some space.

Arnav: Have...have we met?? Do I know you from somewhere??

Khushi looked back at him with her mouth dropped.

Khushi: I should be asking you that! Aren't you the same guy from the hospital?? I remember you screaming my name! How do you know my name?? I never even met you before!! And why are you screaming at me for? You should look where you are going!

Arnav: What the!! When?? What are you talking about??

But they were suddenly interrupted with a rough voice.

"Chote!! What are you doing here? Come on, I have an important meeting to attend and need your help!!"

Yash called out trying his best to suppress his anger. And before he had the chance to protest Yash came forward and nearly dragged him out of there.

Yash was glad that his client had set up their meeting in the coffee shop. He had saw Arnav there and decided to question him when he suddenly saw him bumping into Gupta's daughter. And luckily was able to stop this disaster just in time.

Khushi watched the stranger disappear in confusion, wondering what was all that about. She shrugged and walked on trying to find Payal.

However she failed to notice Aman and Payal standing behind a wall watching them.

Aman and Payal looked at each other disappointed and worried. Their mission was left incomplete. They now only hoped that Arnav and Khushi's families didn't suspect them after this.

...

Yash stormed into his study as soon as he came home and called up Shashi.

Yash: WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK OF YOURSELF?? YOU SET UP MY SON AGAIN!!!

Shashi: DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO ME THAT WAY!! AND WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? Y

ash: How dare you throw your stupid daughter at my son?? You were the one who arranged their meeting at the mall today didn't you?? Don't you dare lie to me!!!

Shashi: WHAT?? You think I'm insane to throw my daughter into a hell hole?? And how dare you accuse my daughter!!! For your information my daughter was at the mall to meet her friend Payal!! Not to meet your lousy son!!

Yash silenced as realization dawned upon him. He knew exactly who was behind this. And he wouldn't spare them! He then spoke up.

Yash: Well if that's the case then I think I know who was behind this.

After he briefed Shashi about what happened at the mall they reached a mutual decision.

Yash: I don't want your daughter anywhere near my son. And I will make sure my son stays away from your daughter as well!

Shashi: Deal!! I don't want to see you or your son's face anyone near me or my family!!

And with that they slammed the phones shut before they would end up screaming at each other again.

Yash then called Aman.

"I told you not to let Arnav know anything about Khushi and the Gupta family!!! Despite my strict orders you and your sister went against me!!!" Yash screamed.

Aman trembled and gulped in fear trying to quickly  come up with an excuse.

Aman: Uncle I...

Yash: SHUT UP and listen to me!! I've had it with you with!!! You try to mess with my son's life again and I'll make sure your sister doesn't marry my nephew Akash!

And saying that he shut the phone on his face without giving Aman even a chance to speak.

Aman sank down feeling helpless. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't risk Payal's or Arnav's future. They both meant the world to him. He decided to maybe let some time pass and let things settle down. He would then personally go to Yash Uncle and convince him. He couldn't just let things be like this.

...

Meanwhile Yash booked Arnav's ticket for London. He felt apprehension sting his heart.

"What if Arnav remembers who Khushi is?  What would I do then? What will I say to Arnav? I can't let anything happen to him." Yash thought to himself.

But the doctors reassuring words then came to mind.

Flashback:

"...Everything is still under control. You don't have to worry about your son. He won't recall anything regarding the Guptas or Khushi" said the doctor trying to reassure Mr. Raizada.

Flashback ends

He felt some relief but still didn't want to take any chances. He went ahead and finalized the booking. He would let Arnav handle their business outside of India. It would keep him busy and away from the Gupta's.

Meanwhile at the Gupta Mansion Shashi too booked Khushi's ticket for New York. He would send her off for further studies there.

"Besides she always wanted to go to New York and this  would be the best time to send her off." He thought to himself.

However little did anyone know that destiny had different plans!!

Long Lost Memories and Love Ch 10

2 years later...

A glaze of dark shadows encompassed the area. Droplets of a sticky liquidy substance dripped to the ground.
Two figures stood above a pool of blood.

A pair of masculine hands grazed the soft glowing cheek. Muffling the painful cries, the bodies united into a desperate passionate hug.

"Its ok...nothing will happen love..."

The sound of glass shattering came from within the near distance...

"NOOOOOOO........"

He woke up panting as the sweat dripped down his face making its way to the white sheets on the king-sized bed. He reached his trembling hands towards the glass of water standing on his night stand and gulped the water in one go.

He sat still for a few moments, catching his breath until his alarm rang bringing him back to senses. A reminder of his meeting blinked on his iphone. After a few more pondering moments spent in deep thought he slowly climbed out of bed and headed for a shower.

As he stood under the steaming water with his eyes closed, his mind went over the dream countless times. It was almost like a daily routine for him now yet he was left even more restless each time. Each morning he would wake up panting and sweating.

The dream was like a unknown painful tug at his heart with the pain increasing day by day. In frustration he slapped his hand against the wall chanting to himself,

"It doesn't mean anything...the dream doesn't mean anything Arnav!!"

...

They sat in the meeting that finally concluded after four long hours.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen that concludes our meeting. I expect results soon and the best."

ASR announced as the employees sat attentively not moving an inch. Finally with a single motion of his finger they quickly scattered out.

ASR marched out with his PA rushing behind him finalizing the upcoming important dates.

"Sir the meeting tomorrow will be held at 9 am sharp. Representatives from other competing companies will also be present there."

"Hmm...see to it that all the preparations are done and that we bag the deal by the end of the first hour. AR never fails to succeed in anything!" said a confident ASR.

"Definitely sir."

He struggled to keep up with ASR's speed as he quickly scanned his file for other important reminders. He mentally kicked himself for almost forgetting to tell him about the important evening event. He looked up just in time to see ASR marching away and almost sprinted towards him.

"Sir...one more thing your father called just before today's meeting. Tonight is Mr. Singhania's 30th Wedding Anniversary celebration. He has sent a special invitation to the Raizadas. Mr. Raizada said its important to attend since Mr. Singhania happens to be one of his oldest clients. It would also prove to be beneficial to the meeting with Mr. Singhania tomorrow."

"Hmm...very well then see you in the evening."

Saying that he went into his office.

...

He sat at his desk with his head leaning back on the headrest of the chair. Closing his eyes he recalled his father's words.

"Son, as part of the Raizada Empire I expect the best and only the best. Your intellectual business sense and skills regarding our chains of Hotels and Resorts has left me quite impressed. Within just a matter of months you managed to bring Raizada Hotels and Resorts to India's top two position. However our foreign business empire is in a huge mess due to the economy. I'm putting you in charge there to get things running smoothly. I have complete faith in you. Make me proud by ensuring AR to be the world's number one fashion house."

Arnav opened his eyes, the conversation by the fireplace was still fresh in mind even after two years.

The young 27 year old rose up, walking towards the window. He looked down upon his employees, and thought to himself,

"I won't let you down Dad. We'll very soon be the number one."

...

She stepped out dripping wet and tied the bathrobe tighter around her body. Drying her hair she sat in front of her laptop reading over the annual reports.

Just as she finished reading her phone vibrated.

She smiled as she answered,

"Yes I remember, don't worry Papa I'll be there on time.

"Good but are you sure you don't need anything?" he asked.

"Papa don't worry I've got everything handled. And remember your promise? You need to rest now. Its been two years since you have retired but you still haven't enjoyed your time off. You and Mama should go for a holiday."

"But Beta..." he started.

"No excuses will work this time Papa! I'm booking yours and Mama's tickets to a one month trip to Dubai."

He smiled at his daughter orders giving up,

"Okay Khushi beta, you just take care of yourself. And please Beta learn to enjoy these years. You are only 22 and yet you have taken up so much responsibility...I..."

Khushi didn't let her father continue any further and said,

"Papa I'm doing absolutely fine and enjoying my work. You and Mama don't have to worry about anything."

Shashi sighed but let it go.

"Ok Beta. Let me know how everything goes."

Khushi smiled saying,

"I will call you tomorrow. Love you Papa good night."

Shashi: Love you too beta, good night.

As Khushi hung up she walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out her outfit. She untied the robe, letting it fall freely to the ground and changed into the elegant outfit for the evening. She tied the knots at the back one by one and walked over to her dresser. With minimal make-up yet an elegant touch she looked absolutely exquisite as she walked out towards her car.

Her driver greeted her as he held the door open for her to sit inside. Within minutes they were driving off towards the evening's event. Khushi sat there praying silently to herself,

"Hey Devi Maiya please let everything work. I don't want to let Papa down."

As Khushi finished the quick prayer she looked back to her files laying on the backseat of her BMW. She decided to go over the details once more.

...

Mr. Singhania's party was on full swing. The hall was beautifully decorated with a traditional Indian theme kept in mind. The colorful yet elegant surroundings filled with loud desi music gave the party an attractive feel to it. Despite the theme being traditional Mr. Singhania managed to convince his dear wife to allow at least business suits for the guests' convenience.

The party was filled with unique and impressive personalities. Most of the men dressed in either business suits or traditional Indian attire while the women mostly dressed in elegant saree's and salwar suits.

Arnav stood with a group of men discussing business topics. Upon his Dad's orders he was determined to maintain a good impression on Mr. Singhania. It was the matter of the Raizada's reputation and Arnav would make sure nothing would tarnish it. Due to the economy their foreign business empire had been down in the dumps for a while. Therefore making it difficult initially to sign on new clients.

After much struggle Arnav had managed to bring their company back up to their high standards. His aim now was to make it to the number one position. And finalizing the deal with Mr. Singhania would be a step closer to making his father's and his dream come true. Since Mr. Singhania was a very old client and a good family friend he wanted to maintain healthy business relations with him.

After a long group discussion over stock markets Arnav walked over towards the bar. The loud music was beginning to irritate him. He almost groaned to himself when Mahi Ve played again for almost the 10th time.

Just as he lifted his glass to take a sip of his drink the lights suddenly went off.

Puzzled, Arnav turned around only to freeze as his heart started racing.

It was dark everywhere except one corner of the hall where the lights focused on a beautiful angel. It was as if the world paused complimenting and celebrating the angel's arrival as the music sounded...

SubhanAllah SubhanAllah...

Khushi... ;)

Arnav's heart felt a sudden unknown feeling of khushi (happiness) and rather impatient excitement as the angel continued to stand there in glory.

Khushi looked around nervously feeling uneasy as every pair of eyes stared at her. Her gaze stopped on one particular pair of eyes.

It was as if she was hypnotized by his deep molten brown eyes.

Arnav slowly let his eyes travel down taking in her sight. She was dressed in a beautiful angelic blue sari.

Chaand sifarish jo karta hamari deta woh tumko bata...

Khushi adjusted her sari as her heart started beating, feeling his intense gaze upon her.

Sharm-o-haya parde gira ke karni hain humko khata...

SubhanAllah SubhanAllah...

They were suddenly interrupted as Mr. Singhania's wife came towards the angel to greet her.

Mr. Singhania's wife: I'm so glad you could make it betiya. Thanks for coming. Please make sure yourself comfortable.

Khushi: It's my pleasure to be here.

Even as they spoke Khushi could still feel his gaze on her making her uneasy.

Arnav just couldn't seem to take his eyes off of her. The rare beautiful and innocence that reflected from her seem take his breath away. He watched her as she was pulled towards a young group of girls chatting and laughing away. The sweet sound of her laughter played music to his ears.

Khushi gazed back at him from the distance wondering to herself,

"Where do I remember him from?"

The girls constant chattering made her forget everything and she was drawn into their cheerful conversation.

Meanwhile Arnav was simply lost in her and had completely forgotten about his surroundings. Finally from the cornor of his eyes he saw someone approaching him.

He straighten himself up when he found his PA come around to join him at the bar.

His PA ordered himself a drink and said with a slightly drunk voice,

"She's simply beautiful isn't she?"

Arnav felt a unknown feeling of rage overcome him at the comment. He stared back into his PA's eyes, giving him almost a death glare.

When in return Arnav received nothing but a puzzled nervous look from the poor guy he turned back to his original position. And thought to himself,

"What's wrong with me? Why...?"

But his thoughts were interrupted as he saw a young man about to ask the angel for a dance.

Something snapped in him and without a second thought wasted he marched over towards them.

Khushi saw the man from a distance get up and immediately felt her heart racing again. Her eyes almost popped out when she saw him heading towards her and before she knew it he was standing just mere inches away from her.

Arnav stared at her and the young man standing next to her.

With his one look the young man quickly excused himself saying he has an important call to make. The young man then quickly scattered away, he had heard lots about ASR and his famous anger. And had no plans of making a fool out of himself in front of everyone.

Arnav smirked as he turned back to look at the angel.

All Khushi could do was stare at him dumbfounded. She couldn't seem to form the right words for the situation. Therefore she just continued to stare at him with widen eyes and a mouth opened wide enough to fit a dozen laddos at once.

After a few moments of admiring her rather cute expressions he spoke up in a husky voice,

"Hi, may I have this dance with you?"
